More on The Lemonade War … Sort of!

I have been working this morning on a blog entry about my weekend adventures, which included a jaunt to the Wellesley Booksmith (“an independent bookstore for independent minds”!) for a reading by Jacqueline Davies. I’ve told you about Jackie and her book, THE LEMONADE WAR, in a previous post, but at that time I didn’t have a copy of the book (it had not been released yet), and I had no book signing experience of my own (my book hadn’t been released yet, either). Now I have both, and a new post was in order.

But, alas, I have been scooped!

Alison Morris, bookseller and blogger, has touted Jackie’s book and Jackie’s marketing prowess at the Publisher’s Weekly blog. Her thoughts are so close to my own, that I will simply direct you there. If you are a writer and you plan to market your books at bookstore events, read this post (and the promised sequel). And if you are a reader looking for a middle-grade chapter book featuring real kids with real problems and, just for fun, a little business theory, read Jacqueline Davies’ THE LEMONADE WAR.
