Loree is thrilled to celebrate author Diana Renn and the release of Trouble at Turtle Pond, her new mystery for young readers. Loree, Diana, and the novel’s protagonist, eleven-year-old Miles, all love turtles. (Doesn’t everyone? Don’t you?) Join Loree as she celebrates the release of her eighth children’s book with a library fundraising book extravaganza! Copies of Honeybee Rescue, filled with eye-popping images by local photographer Ellen Harasimowicz, will be available for sale and signing after the event. Loree and Ellen’s other children’s books will be on hand too, and all proceeds from the book sale will benefit the Beaman Memorial Public Library. Read more here.

Join Loree at the Beaman Memorial Library for an introduction to writing and reading haiku. This workshop is designed for beginners, but experienced haiku poets are welcomed, too.  And all attendees are cordially invited to participate in subsequent haiku-sharing events (ku-kai) on October 13 and November 17.
